What is a good Email Open rate?
This is a common question we get from our clients, this is a standard measurement on Email Marketing and it basically tells you if your emails are getting opened.
Remember an email that isn’t opened, wouldn’t yield any results.
What open rates tell you is how good your subject lines and pre-header text are.
Basically, are you being relevant to what your subscribers want to read?
So, what is a good open rate?
According to ActiveCampaign “When you’re first getting started, 20% email open rates and 1-3% click rates are solid baseline rates. Mailing with care will help increase these rates over time, as your email deliverability rates improve.”
We’ve seen the case with clients of up to 60% open rate depending on how targeted the emails are but as mentioned by ActiveCampaign over 20% is a good start.
Really is all about being relevant to your audience, the more you know about them, you’ll learn how to send the right email at the right time to the right person, if you are new to automation and you want to learn more about this, I suggest you check out this video.
